Man, is this a song. Transcends genre altogether and evokes some serious emotion. And ya, “Civil War” forest fire scene and Joel’s reaction made this especially special.

Well that didn’t work because the ticket master scalpers took everything the moment presale started.

Just based on the lyrics and some of the stuff Sturgil said about the song, it seems to really be about not missing out on live and life while “drowning in a dream”. He wrote it while on tour, apparently, and while missing his family. The music video almost seems to recontextualize it, though. As if it’s about not dwelling on the dreams that have been lost (hence the car crash, the empty cradle, the fallen soldier, etc)
